Jamie Daniel Taylor

Jamie Daniel Taylor, loving and devoted father, passed away at the age of 62 on July 11, 2023 in his home in Euless, Texas after years of struggling with diabetes. Jamie is survived by his two children, Vivian and Jillian Taylor, and his sister, Janie Taylor Barth of Austin, Texas. Jamie was preceded in death by his parents Jean Easson and Matthew Daniel Taylor of Austin, Texas.

Jamie was an avid sports fan and enjoyed attending professional sporting events as well as coaching and attending his daughters’ sporting events and various other activities. Jamie’s favorite sports teams were the Boston Red Sox baseball team, Dallas Stars hockey team, Green Bay Packers football team and the San Antonio Spurs basketball team. While he had been a Texas Longhorn fan since childhood, Jamie learned to cheer on the Texas A&M Aggies and the Arkansas Razorbacks in support of Vivian and Jillian. Jamie also enjoyed golf, fishing and hunting.

Jamie retired after twenty-plus years as a Senior Designer with the Reinforced Earth Company designing retaining walls with mural art that is displayed along highways all over Texas and adjoining states.

Jamie’s family will host a service to celebrate his life on August 5, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lucas Funeral Home located at 1321 Precinct Line Road Hurst, Texas 76053.
