Jan Holder of Hurst, Texas passed away peacefully on January 10, 2021 at the age of 87 as a result of complications from COVID-19.
She was born in Lubbock, Texas to Lorna Beth and Glenn Hunt. Known by her family and friends as "Mimi", she was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many. Mimi was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers fan, often yelling at them on TV. She loved reading, playing bridge, gardening in her flower beds, and above all, getting together with family. Even at her young age, Mimi was quite the fashionista with her style of clothes, matching shoes and jewelry.
Mimi is survived by her sister, Judy Schmid of Houston; son, Rusty Holder of Fort Worth; daughters, Debbie Rasbury, and husband, Gary, and Donna Hampton, and husband, Kenneth; grandchildren, Cody Butler, and fiancé, Alison, Lindsey Hampton, Trey Hampton, and wife, Chelsea, Garyn Rictor, and husband, Cody, Chris Heim, and wife, Karen, Jake Holder, McKinzie Beggs, and husband, Buddy, Whitney Holder, and wife, Cyndi; 8 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces; and many friends. Special thanks to long-time family friend, John Carter.
Jan is preceded in death by son, Randy Holder, by 6 days (January 4, 2021); husband, Don Holder; her parents; as well as a grandson, Travis; and great-granddaughter, Mylee.
