GRAPEVINE -- Jan Etta Gibson Venable, 60, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother who passed at her home surrounded by her family. Celebration of life: 10 a.m. Saturday in Founders Chapel of First United Methodist Church, 422 Church St., Grapevine. The Rev. James Clinkscales and the Rev. Rick Mang will officiate. Memorials: Donations may be made in Jan's name to Susan G. Komen, Box 650309, Dallas, Texas 75265-0309. Jan worked for Mary Kay just shy of 25 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Catherine Gibson. Survivors: Her loving husband of 41 years, Gary Venable; daughters, Emily Mitchell and husband, Kyle, Susan McCafferty and husband, Brad; grandchildren, Garrison Mitchell and Claire, Campbell and Case McCafferty; siblings, Lana DeFeo and husband, Richy, Jed Gibson and wife, Michele, and Bret Gibson; and many other loving relatives and friends.
