Jane D Lee

Our beautiful Mom, Jane DeAnn Lee, 85, passed away on June 24, 2023 after a ten year battle with Primary Progressive Aphasia.

Mom was born and raised in Muskogee, Oklahoma. After graduating from high school, she met and married the love of her life, Navy pilot John W. Lee. Two years later, they welcomed the first of three children.

After serving in the Navy, Mom and Dad started a new chapter when he began a 29 year career with American Airlines. They moved from their last Navy assignment in Hawaii to Buffalo, New York and later settled in Hurst, Texas.

In addition to raising three kids, Mom was a loving “Granny” to seven grandchildren. Her passions included gardening, spending time with family, and caring for her favorite four legged friends - her sweet cats.

After retirement, Mom and Dad traveled the world, always returning with a great story (especially when traveling with their treasured group of friends). This past March, Mom and Dad, celebrated 66 years of marriage.

Our beloved Mom – daughter, sister, wife, granny, aunt, friend – will be dearly missed.

Mom was preceded in death by her father Charles G. Williams, mother Audrey J. Williams, and sister Charlene Jones (Ed). She is survived by husband John W. Lee, sons John W. Lee Jr. (Trish) and Charles R. Lee (Pam), daughter Darcy A. Gulig (Mark), grandchildren Hunter and Jody Lee; Chase, Chandler, and Paige Lee; Grace and Audrey Gulig, nieces Charlene Willess and Nancy Goetschius, beloved cats Winston and Prissy.
