Janet Elaine Handley entered into life May 4, 1937. Born as the daughter of Eunis Eileen Williams Kraemer and John Curtis Kraemer in Moline, Illinois. She entered into rest October 15, 2019, surrounded by loved ones.
In her early adult years she became a Realtor and she spent years selling real estate. Finally she decided to try her hand at marketing. She enrolled at Memphis State University, Memphis, Tennessee, colloquially known as U of M, a public research university in Memphis, Tennessee, founded in 1912. Janet graduated with a BA in Marketing.
She later became the owner of two restaurants The Pancake Shop in the 1990’s and then a restaurant known as The Rebel drive in. In the early 2000’s she became semi - retired. She sold her house and business which allowed her to travel and work for the National Parks. Depending on the season she would travel from Alaska to Florida during her tenure at the Parks.
In 2008 she moved to Texas to live out her life with her son, Scott Handley and wife, Xiao (Joy) and especially, her grandson, Clint whom she dearly loved.
As recent as six months ago she decided she wanted to raise chickens. She purchased two baby chick-lets and raised them until they became too big. She headed to Plano to find them a new home with someone who had other chickens. Scott, Xiao and Clint decided to keep them and to this day they are still living with them in Plano.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents Eunis and John Kraemer.
She is survived by two sons; Scott Handley and wife, Xiao (Joy), and Ken Handley and wife, Wanda, Two grandsons; Clint and Casey Handley, One cousin; Linda Mueller, two nieces; Chris and Whitney, One sister in law Kathy Kraemer and husband, Bart.
