Janet Moore

Mrs. Janet “Jan” Lynn Moore, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Mismas
was born February 2, 1956 in Greensberg, Pennsylvania. She attended the public
schools in Virginia Beach and holds a bachelors degree from Virginia Wesleyan
University. At an early age she worked in the shipyards and assisted in building
submarines.
She was married to Billy E. Moore, on June 13, 2005 in Las Vegas.
Jan had an infectious laugh and always smiling. She would always bake a big
box of cookies for each of her in-laws and special handpicked gifts for family
members at Christmas. Jan would sit in the yard for hours and pull each and
every weed that invaded her beautiful lawn. She planted flowers in anything that
didn’t move and loved going to the ocean beach.
Jan will be missed and forever cherished in the lives of her family: Her beloved
husband Billy and their dog Georgie, her brother Jim Mismas and wife Mary,
sister Brenda Mismas, brothers in laws Hoyt Moore and wife Beth, Ted Moore
and wife Ditas, sister in laws Sandra Sackville, Carolyn Moore and a host of
devoted nieces, nephews, and friends.
