Janet Tollefson

Janet Lee Tollefson, 61, of Bedford, Texas formerly of Schaumburg, IL, passed away Monday, August 3, 2015 at her home surrounded by family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer.

Janet was born on August 1, 1954 to Lyle and Phyllis Blenden in Winfield, KS. She was reared and educated in Winfield where she graduated high school in 1972. After high school she attended Cowley College in Kansas.

In 1986 Janet married Donald Tollefson and moved to the Chicago area. She was a manager in the banking industry and was passionate about gardening, her pets and most of all, her family.

Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Don Tollefson and her father Lyle Blenden.

Janet is survived by her sons, David and Adam Tollefson of Bedford, TX, mother, Phyllis Blenden of Colleyville, TX, sister Diane Sudmalis (Scott) of Evergreen, CO, brother, Mark Blenden (Pamela) of Colleyville, TX, nephew, Brian Blenden (Mandie) of Corinth, TX, nephew Aaron Blenden (Jenni) of Soddy Daisy, TN, nephew Andris Sudmalis of Evergreen, CO, Sister-in-law Darla Tollefson-Hajinian (Chuck) and many other extended family members.

Janet cherished her friendships and will be missed by many.
