Janette was born in Columbus, NE to Arlie and MaryAnn Krueger on July 2, 1953. Her family moved to Lincoln, NE in 1968 where she attended high school at Lincoln High School and graduated in 1970. In 1980 her family moved to Germantown, TN where she began her career with Kroger.

A kind-hearted and generous person, Janette enjoyed interacting with members of her community and was well known and liked by all. Among her greatest joys in life was helping others. This led Janette to her work organizing fund raising events through Kroger. Her favorite cause was helping the less fortunate members of the Memphis area through Feed the Need Food Bank. Janette’s work helped make the Germantown Kroger store the top fundraiser for the food bank for five consecutive years. These efforts earned her recognition as Kroger’s Woman of the Year in 2002 as part of the Memphis Woman magazine’s “50 Women Who make a Difference”.

Janette moved to Texas in 2002 to live closer to her mother, siblings and their families. She lived in the Houston area for many years and later moved to Ft. Worth, TX. She regularly attended Hope Lutheran Church. She enjoyed cooking, scrapbooking, collecting angels and most of all spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Community Hospice in Ft. Worth for their support in her final days.

Janette is preceded in death by her father, Arlie Krueger; her brother David Krueger; and her sister Deanne Kay Rutledge
