Grapevine, TX - Janice Marie Olson, 87, transitioned from her earthly life to her eternal life on April 13, 2024.

The Visitation will be held from Noon to 2:00pm and the Funeral will be at 2:00pm, Tuesday, April 23 at Bethel Baptist Church in Grapevine. Graveside service following the Funeral at Lonesome Dove Cemetery, Southlake, TX.

Janice Marie Olson was born on July 29, 1936, in Yantis, Texas to Roy and Erphy Burgess. She grew up in Quitman, Texas and graduated from Quitman High School in 1954. The summer of 1954 she married the love of her life, Robert Howard Olson. They moved to Dallas where Janice became a loving mother to her two wonderful children. Janice and Robert settled in Grapevine for the last 30+ years.

She was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church in Grapevine.

Janice was preceded in death by her late parents; loving husband, Robert; her brother, James "Bud" Burgess; her sister, Edith Phillips; and her twin sister, Geneva Venable.

She was survived by her daughter, Deborah Parks and husband, Kenneth; her son, Robert Daniel Olson, and wife, Susan; her five grandchildren, Marissa Parks Feith and husband, David; Jared Parks and wife, Savannah; Kara Parks Adams and husband, David; Christina Olson Warfle and husband, Patrick; and Robert Joseph Olson and wife, Jenn; her 11 precious great grandchildren; and numerous loving family members and friends.
