Janie lived a life that we should all learn from. She was honest, caring, loved to laugh, she told it like it was even when it was not what you wanted to hear and above all loved with all her heart. Janie was born January 7, 1941 to Glenn and Faye Hines in Houston, Texas. She was raised in Lufkin, Texas as a princess as she was the apple of her father's eye. She graduated from Lufkin High School and attended Sam Houston State University afterwards. Janie married the love of her life on June 14, 1969 when she and Richard Pierce became one. Shortly after, they moved to Bedford to start their life together. Janie started working at the City of Bedford shortly after moving to the area and was employed there until 1998 when she retired. She continued to touch many people's lives as she knew how to so well.
Survivors: She is survived only by her pride and joy, her baby boy, Richard (Richie) Pierce of Fort Worth and numerous friends who she touched throughout her life.
