"Janie Yamamoto, 60, of Keller, Texas passed away on Sunday July 1, 2012 with her loving family at her side. A memorial service will be held 2:00pm Saturday July 7 at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller, TX.
She was born on July 11, 1951 in Buffalo, NY to Frank and Gloria Thompson. She attended Penn State and graduated from Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan. Her father worked for IBM and was stationed in Japan where Janie met her husband Yoji Yamamoto. They married in Danbury, CT on June 14th 1975 and relocated back to Tokyo Japan where they worked at the time. They returned to the United States where they raised two beautiful and talented children. Most recently living in Keller, TX. Her interests included quilting, genealogy, and family.
Mrs. Yamamoto is survived by her husband Yoji Yamamoto, her children Naomi and Ken Yamamoto, her mother Gloria Thompson, her sister Susie and husband Wes Thompson. Janie will be missed by friends and family.
