Jay Thomas Daniels

November 16, 1957 — April 15, 2022

Jay Thomas Daniels was called home on April 15, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer. His last days were spent in the loving care of his life partner and love Mary-Loving Harman (Missy), and the caring nursing staff of BSW Pickens Cancer Hospital and Truitt 4 floor ICU in Dallas, Texas.

Jay was born in Denton, Texas, on November 16,1957 to Paul Walker Daniels and Donna Mary Stroup Daniels. After graduating from R.L. Paschal High School, and attending College in Fort Worth and Richardson, Jay began a career in production management at Multicore Solders in Richardson, Texas. Later Jay created his own company, Texas Finish Out Construction Company in Grapevine, Texas. He ran a very well-respected and successful business.

An important part of Jay’s life has been his heartfelt interest in his family which includes partner and love, Mary-Loving Harman (Missy), and her granddaughter, Arianna Johnson. Jay treasured all the moments he shared cherishing the time he spent with her on her way to her achievements. Jay had a gift for making everyone feel special. He had a deep interest and love for the people in his life, which included his very special brother John Harrison Daniels. John with a severe speech disability was the youngest of Jay’s siblings. Jay was John’s friend and his fanatical guardian. We will forever miss this remarkable: son, brother, grandfather, uncle, foster brother, companion, and friend.

He was long term member of the BFMC club. Jay was preceded in death by his father, Paul Walker Daniels, his parental grandparents, Paul H. Daniels, and Margaret Daniels, his maternal grandparents, Vernon M Stroup, and Kelly Stroup; and Patrick Johnson.
He is survived by his beloved mother, Donna Stroup Thompson; sister, Julie Ann Daniels Stutz; brothers Jeffrey Stroup Daniels and John Harrison Daniels; his life partner, Mary-Loving Harman; Christopher Johnson and Arianna Johnson; nieces, nephews, extended family members and his Booze Fighters Chapter 2 Brothers.
