Jay C Disney

Jay C Disney was born to Carl and Ione Disney and raised on the renowned Four Sixes Ranch near Panhandle Texas. Jay graduated with a BS degree from TCU in 1950 where he met Doris Ann Keys, roommate of his sister Bonnie. After graduation, Jay returned to west Texas to work for Conoco Oil Company. With three small children, a young wife and an uncertain future, Jay made the courageous decision to begin a new and successful career as a State Farm Insurance Agent, eventually owning his own agency in Midland, Texas. While working a fulltime job and raising a family Jay went on to earn several Master level degrees in Finance and Investment Planning.
Jay was active in his community and served as a congregational leader and Elder at First Christian Church of Midland Texas, as well as serving on State and National Committees and Boards for his beloved TCU.
Jay and Doris raised a family together, built a home together, travelled the world together and shared a wonderful life together. For their 50th wedding anniversary Jay and Doris surprised the family by taking all of them including his sister Carol on an unforgettable trip through Italy. Before her death in 2014, Jay and Doris celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary and renewed their vows in a special service attended by family.
In all things that matter Jay Disney was the essence of a good man who embodied the essential values of hard work, sacrifice, commitment and dedication to faith and family.
He leaves behind his son Rick Disney and wife Loretta of Fort Worth, son Ben Disney of Graham, Texas, grandchildren Patrick and wife Pam, Leigh, Cameron and wife Amy, and Laura, great grandchildren Bryan, Bailee, Thomas, and Alina and sister Carol Hulsey of Amarillo, Texas.
