Jean Darlene Nail

Jeannie Darlene Nail, 84, of Bedford, Texas, passed away on June 11, 2024. She was born on July 23, 1939, in Dallas, Texas.

Jeannie, had a fulfilling career that included modeling for Neiman Marcus and managed by Kim Dawson Agency. She was a devoted mother and wife, finding joy in caring for her five children. Jeannie was also a cancer survivor who underwent two major open-heart surgeries. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking, helping those in need, listening to music, dancing, and spreading the word of Jesus.

She is survived by her children Brenda Nail and son-in-law Scott Montoya, Maria Nail Westbrook and son-in-law Dennis Westbrook, Michael Nail and daughter-in-law Ayako Nail, eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Jeannie was preceded in death by her mother Dell Gremillion, father Corneilius Gremillion, brother Corneilius Gremillion Jr. , sister Laverne Gremillion, daughter Alicia Harrison, and son Billy Ray Nail.

A viewing will be held on June 20, 2024, from 6 to 8 pm at Lucas Funeral Homes, located at 1321 Precinct Road, Hurst, Texas 76053. The funeral service will take place at 10 am on June 21, 2024, at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Humane Society or the Bedford, Tx Animal Shelter in honor of Jeannie Nail's passion for rescuing animals.

Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst, Texas, is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements.
