Jean Wills O’Connor 93 passed away on Wednesday, February 26 at Baylor Hospital in Grapevine after a short illness. She was surrounded by her loving family.

SERVICE - A memorial service will be held at Keller United Methodist Church, Johnson Road, Keller, TX, March 10th at 10:00 am

Jean was born in Newark, New Jersey in 1920. She grew up in Nutley, NJ. She graduated from Nutley High School and The Berkeley School in East Orange, NJ. After marriage she moved to Clifton where she spent many years working as a secretary for Sports Network Inc. in Manhattan, New York. In 1965 she moved to Livingston where she worked for Foster wheeler for 10 years, retiring in 1971. In 1989 she moved to Mt. Bethel, PA to be close to her daughter and her family after their transfer. Four years later she made a huge move to Grapevine, Texas, again following her family. In 2000 she moved to The Villas on Bear Creek active senior community in North Richland Hills where she had many friends. Her favorite activity was wii bowling and shuffleboard. She played and still drove her Jeep Cherokee until just weeks before her passing.

Jean was an avid camper for many years in tents and her beloved RV. She continued to tent camp by herself at Deer Lake in Boonton, NJ into her seventies. She was an avid lover of animals and her 18 year old cat Missy.

SURVIVORS – Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Lynn and husband Richard Lindblad, Southlake, TX; granddaughter Cindy, Richardson, TX; granddaughter Jennifer and husband James Moore, Rhome, TX, and five great-grandchildren. She also leaves a nephew in California and a niece and her children and grandchildren in Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack.
