Jean Marie Rinkes, 79 passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020 peacefully at her home in Bedford, Texas.
Jean was born on December 31, 1940 in Maynard Ohio to Walter and Bertha Chuckery. By the time she was nine, her parents had passed away. Her sister and brother-in-law, Mary Lou and Joseph Pruneski took on the role of raising her along with the support of her sister, Helen Marie Mendyka and extended family. She lived a happy childhood surrounded by the love of close family and friends.
She graduated from St. Clairsville High School where she met the love of her life, Charles K. Rinkes. Together they traveled many places with friends and would always come home with tales of their adventures. She had a passion for cooking and her family would agree that her apple pie and Polish nut rolls could not be beat!
Jean lived for her family whom she loved deeply and unconditionally. She reveled in their joys and was always there to lend a helping hand. She served in the funeral ministry at Saint Michael Catholic Church for many years providing home-cooked dishes to families in their time of need.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Bertha Chuckery; brothers-in-law, Joseph Pruneski and Eugene Mendyka.
She is survived by her husband of 61 wonderful years, Charles K. Rinkes; son, Charles A. Rinkes and wife Teresa; son, Gary Rinkes; daughter Lori Sarmiento and husband Kendrick; grandchildren Craig Rinkes and wife Bizz, Curtis Rinkes and wife Andrea, Grant Sarmiento and Brooklyn Sarmiento; great granddaughter Ryanne Rinkes; sisters Mary Lou Pruneski and Helen Marie Mendyka; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and dear friends.
