It is with great sadness that the family of Jeannie Rae Rose Pawelczyk announces her passing on January 1, 2024, at the age of 76 years. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Jeannie, born and raised in Oklahoma, was a baton twirler, flutist, and proud graduate of Ponca City High School. After attending Oklahoma State University, she began her 42-year career as a flight attendant following in her father’s footsteps working for American Airlines. Throughout her career, she was known for her hard work, dedication, loyalty, and enthusiasm to interact with passengers.
In her free time, Jeannie enjoyed gardening, writing poetry, politics, 1950s music, and OSU football. More than anything, she was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. She was never at a loss for words and was always available for a phone call. She was there to lend support in difficult times, provide encouragement, and celebrate successes. She welcomed all of her family members, old and new, into her heart and home, making get-togethers enjoyable and unforgettable.
Jeannie will be lovingly remembered by her children Leslie Leonard (with husband Sheldon) and Kellie Minor (with husband Greg). She will also be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her grandchildren, Madison Nelson (with husband Justin), Summer Bedgood, Landon Minor, Seth Bedgood (with wife Skye), Matthew Minor, Stephanie Minor, and Brittany Minor; her great-grandchildren Dakota Nelson and Hayden Nelson; her brother Raymond Rose II (Eddie), and her sister, Sheryl Rose Headrick. Jeannie is preceded in death by her husband, James Pawelczyk; father, Raymond Rose; mother, Naomi Weiss Silvy; stepmother, Doralene Rose; and sister, Judy Semrad.
Jeannie was a devout Christian who was ready to be home with the Lord.
