Jeffrey Louis Kendrick passed away at his home on Monday, December 10, 2018. Jeff was born, a twin, on February 13, 1970 in Metairie, Louisiana. His parents, who were native Texans, moved back to Hurst, Texas with Jeffrey and his twin brother in the summer of that same year. Jeffrey has lived in the Hurst/Bedford area for all of his life except for a couple of years in his early 20's when he lived in Hawaii. He was on the island of Kauai when the hurricane Iniki hit that island in 1992. For several weeks, he lived in a house with no roof and no electricity, and was fed by FEMA. He stayed in Kauai for a time to help with the clean-up, but then his twin brother joined him and they both moved to Maui where they lived for about a year. Jeff was always proud of the fact that he had lived through a major hurricane and was able to help others. Jeff graduated from L.D. Bell High School in 1988 and attended junior college at TCJC. He has worked at several jobs in the area over the years, but was most proud of his recent job at Carter Blood Center, where he scheduled people for blood donation. Jeff was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, and was always certain that "this would be the year they got to the Super Bowl". Jeff was a kind, sweet, lovable, and gentle man who was well loved and will be terribly missed. May he finally find the peace he so desperately wanted.
Jeffrey is survived by his wife of 15 years Taryn, his step-daughter Baylee, his twin brother Jason Kendrick and his wife Melissa, his mother Donna Kendrick, and his step father of 35 years, Bob Kendrick.
At Jeffrey's request, he is to be cremated. A memorial service will be held at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst Texas at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 17, 2018.
