Jeffrey Manton Little, age 63, of Bedford, passed away suddenly from a heart attack on May 23, 2018 while on a Caribbean cruise with his wife Karen. Born February 12, 1955 at Bolling Air Force Base in Washington D.C., he was the son of the late John M. Little and Sally J. Brandt.
Jeff was a gifted musician, playing the guitar and singing for several bands. A highlight of his musical career was traveling with the U.S.O., entertaining our troops throughout Southeast Asia. His passion for music extended to the recording side of the industry. Jeff built two recording studios where he recorded his own bands and other artists. One of his many talents was designing and building stage lighting that eventually led him to a career as an electrician and project estimator.
Jeff was passionate about life and was not afraid to try new things. He loved to joke around and be silly, bringing laughter and joy to those around him. He was an excellent cook and especially loved to use his smoker to prepare delicious meals for family events. There was a special place in Jeff’s life for his many pet dogs and cats. He was a strong supporter of Operation Kindness, the largest North Texas no-kill animal shelter and adoption center.
Most important to Jeff was his family. He was a dedicated husband and father. He loved being involved in his children’s lives whether it was going to band competitions, sporting and Scout events, or just relaxing together at home. He was actively involved in the music program at his children’s school and served as past PTA President at Stonegate Elementary for two years.
Jeff will be forever remembered by his wife and best friend Karen, beloved children Brooklyn and Jacob, stepdaughter Kelli Cromer, granddaughter Rachel Crary, mother Sally Brandt, brother and sisters Jon (Darilynn), Jana Rochon and Julie (Jim) Makens. Jeff will also be forever remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
A celebration of Jeff’s life will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 4, at Center Point Church, 7804 Mid Cities Blvd., North Richland Hills, TX, with Pastor Jay Bruner officiating.
Memorial donations in memory of Jeff can be made to Operation Kindness, 3201 Earhart Drive, Carrollton, TX 75006 or to the American Heart Association.
