Funeral Service: 11:30 am Thursday, September 12, 2019, at the Lucas Funeral Home Chapel, Keller. Visitation will be 10:30 to 11:30 am prior to the service. Burial will follow 2:15 pm in the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery next to her loving husband Neil.

Jennie was born in Pride, Kentucky and lived most of her life in Louisville. She was a graduate of Bethel College in Hopkinsville, KY with a degree in Home Economics. She served for many years as a preschool teacher, a baker, and cook at various elementary schools in Louisville. She was a faithful Sunday School teacher for toddlers and preschoolers for over 30 years. She led various mission study groups for preteens and teenage girls. After retirement, she volunteered as a teacher’s aide with her granddaughter who taught 1st grade and all the students in her class called her Granny. Her genuine love for children spanned all age groups. Jennie loved cross stitching, crocheting, working jigsaw puzzles and sewing. She was an extremely talented seamstress making everything from wedding dresses to doll clothes. She loved all things purple and butterflies. Jennie enjoyed traveling to places like California, Florida, Hawaii, and Alaska. But more than anything else, Jennie loved spending time with family. She leaves a strong legacy of faith in Jesus Christ and love for her family.
Family members welcoming Jennie into Heaven include her loving husband of 60 years Neil, parents Gus and Lola Christison and John and Mae Fitzgerald, her brother Jimmy Christison, uncle and aunt Burtis and Kate Christison, and uncle and aunt Curtis and Mary.
Those remaining to celebrate her life include her daughters Susan Travis Eicher (husband, Mike), Laurie Travis Rodriguez, and Belinda Travis Belew (husband, Mike); grandchildren Billy Baker (wife, Jodi), Jennifer Bauman (husband, Josh), David Eicher (wife, Jessica), Kiersten Eicher, Shelby Morrison (husband, Coltan), Jessica Rodriguez, Travis Belew, Evan Belew, and Garrett Belew; great-grandchildren Payton Baker, Ellie Baker, Cole Baker, Knox Baker, June Bauman, Jennie Bauman, Jasper Bauman, Paislee Eicher, Paxton Eicher, and Aven Morrison; sister-in-law, Donna Travis McLemore (husband, Jim); nieces and nephews, Steve Kemp, Sharon Kemp Main, Dennis Travis, Phil Travis, Jamia McLemore Wilson, and Greg McLemore, and their families.
