Jerry Hitchcock, age 75, passed away Wednesday, April 27th, 2016 in Keller, TX. Jerry was born March 19, 1941 to JB and Mary Hitchcock in Dallas, TX. He attended school in Dallas and went into the Army during Vietnam for 4 years. Jerry owned a car business with his brother, Terry, for many years. He was known for his many luxury cars, they were his favorite hobby. His other interests included Elvis, country music, spending time with his family, and car shows. He attended Fellowship of the Parks regularly.
Survived by his wife of 43 years, Gloria Jean “Glorjean”; son, Eric; and daughter, Britton. Britton and her husband Harry have 5 children together. Christian (23) and his wife Kassie (21), and their son, Cooper (1); Tyler (19); Jewelian (17); Chap (16); and baby Harry (6).
Funeral service will be at 10:30am Friday May 6, 2016 at the Lucas Funeral Home in Keller, Texas. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 6-8pm on Thursday May 5. Burial with military honors will be at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery following the funeral service at 1:15pm, there will be no formal procession, we ask that you meet the procession in lane "B" at least 15 minutes prior to graveside service.
Pallbearers will be Christian Hitchcock, Tyler Reeves, Chap Reeves, Harry Smith, Mark Hitchcock, and Tim Hitchcock. One honorary pallbearer, Harry Smith,V.
In recognition of his generous nature, random acts of kindness for family, friends, and strangers are encouraged.
