Faithful loving husband, supportive brother, favorite uncle, loyal friend, daddy to his kitty Orson - Jerry was a unique soul who wore many hats and earned many accolades. He never met a stranger. He was uncomplicated, hard working, a man of integrity, modest and unpretentious. His ability to recount detailed humorous stories of long past adventures with his friends was unparalleled. These are no exaggerations. Anyone who knew him or crossed paths with him would strongly agree. It is now time to celebrate his life and to grieve his death.
Jerry Richard McClure was born in Hillsboro, Texas on July 9, 1936 and spent his formative years there. As a young adult he moved to Ft. Worth, Texas. He began working at General Dynamics and eventually found his niche at Bell Helicopter. He spent 35 years at Bell and eventually retired with a lucrative pension allowing he and Karren to travel extensively and to purchase their dream home.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 56 years, Karren McClure, his sisters, Joyce Stockard, Priscilla Ramirez, Stacye Wright, and many nieces and nephews who adore him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Ruth McClure, his brother in-law, Roy Stockard and his nieces, Barbara Gayle and Jerri LouAnnn Stockard.
A celebration of life and visitation will be held at Lucas Funeral Home, 1601 S. Main St., Keller Texas on Sept. 26th at 2:00 pm.
