Jerry Cloyce Sampson

J.C. Sampson Sr., 83, of Fort Worth passed away on March 12, 2020.
He was born August 7, 1936 in Denison, TX to L.A. and Ruby Sampson.
J.C. married his high school sweetheart and was a loving husband for 65 years. He was a skilled carpenter for over 40 years who owned his own construction company and took great pride in his work. His hobbies included restoring old cars, building and repairing things and most
importantly spending time with his family. J.C. will always be remembered as an honest, hardworking and dedicated family man. He was generous, kind and full of wisdom. He had a huge heart and a great sense of humor. He was the rock of the family and a true legend to all of us.
He is preceded in death by his daughter Ann; his parents; and his twin sister Joyce.
He is survived by his wife Barbara; daughter Sherri Witty and husband Bryan; son J.C. Sampson Jr. and wife Nancy Ann; son Jeff Sampson; daughter Nancy Erwin and husband Trent; brother Richard Sampson and wife Susie.
He is also survived by 11 grandsons, 2 granddaughters and 8 great grandchildren.
The family has requested a private service.
