Jesse Odell Beavers

On January 13, 2020, Jesse Odell Beavers, loving husband and father of two sons passed away at the age of 68 in Keller, Texas. Jesse was born on September 14, 1951 in Burleson, Texas to Paul and Fonte (Powell) Beavers.

Jesse was an accomplished mechanic and a long time resident of Keller. On June 6, 1975 he married Vickie Vardeman. They raised two sons, Josh and Jason. He loved to fish and frequently went camping and fishing with his boys and then grandchildren. He was an honorable man who always helped others by lending a hand, or simply being there to offer advice. Jesse was in charge of Keller ISD bus maintenance, keeping the vehicles running safely for many years. He loved John Wayne movies and traveling by Cruise, especially his trips to Alaska.

Jesse is proceeded in death by his parents, Paul and Fonte, brother Billy Joe Beavers, and sister Leatha Marie (Beavers) Paul. Jesse is survived by his wife Vickie, sons and daughters in law

Josh and Kandace of Keller, and Jason and Maggie of Azle. Grandchildren Emma, Andrew and Wyatt. Sisters Ida Minnis, and Paula Wilkerson and Brother Robert Earl, and many nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Service will be held at 2 o’clock p.m. on Thursday January 16th at Lucas Funeral Home Chapel at 1601 South Main Street in Keller, Texas. Interment will follow in Bourland Cemetary. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mary Crowley Cancer Research at marycrowley.org/donate/, or a favorite charity.
