Jewell Mcgowan

Jewell Ennis McGowan, 99, went home to be with her Lord peacefully on December 3, 2012 with her loving family by her side.        Service: 11:00am Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Keller. Ted Eaton will be officiating. Visitation: 6-8pm Tuesday evening at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller. Burial will be in Bourland Cemetery.        Jewell's life was centered on her family and friends. She was our anchor and the glue that has held our family together for many decades. She will surely be missed.        She moved to Keller in 1942 with her husband and four of her five children. Jewell was an Avon representative for 23 years when Keller was a rural community. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Keller and in later years became a        homebuound member.        Preceded in death by: husband of 60 years, Rochelle Ebbe McGowan; son, R.E. McGowan; daughter-in-Law, Beth Blakely McGowan; parents, Willis Archibald and Nina Mae Newman Mauldin; brothers, Kenneth Keith and Marvin Marion Mauldin.        Survivors: LeRoy and Janis McGowan; Benita and Bert Feeler; Aletha and Ted Miller; Sonja Ralston; twelve grandchildren; twenty six great-grandchildren; twenty one great great-grandchildren; and one great great great grandson.
