Jimmie Wayne White (76), resident of Burleson, TX, passed away on April 22, 2023 at his home of 30 years.

Jimmie Wayne White was born in Fort Worth, TX on September 24, 1946. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, friend and Papa. He was raised in Arlington TX where he attended his elementary and high school years. During high school he worked at a local A&P grocery store, a job he truly loved. He left high school and joined the Navy acquiring his GED in the Navy. He was sent to San Diego for boot camp and then to Glen Co Navy Base in Brunswick Georgia. He later was transferred to Navy Dallas in Grand Prairie, TX. He served in the Navy from 1965-1969. Serving his final two years in the Philippines as an Air Traffic Controller. After his Honorable Discharge from the Navy, he went to FAA civilian job at Midland in Odessa for two years. Then moved to Azel, TX as Air Traffic Controller at Mecham airport. Following the birth of his son Jay he transferred to El Paso FAA and shortly thereafter was transferred to Shreveport Louisiana, working for FAA for two years. Following the birth of his son Justin he was transferred to DFW. Around 1980 he left air traffic control and started the business Calico Homes and worked in real estate with Century 21. In the 1980’s Jimmie owned Royal Cut Rate Liquors and later sold to pursue other interests. In the 1990’s Jim worked for ASI Sign Co, Home Depot and Michaels. In 2000 Jim again worked with Century 21 and became a licensed firearm dealer. He was an expert marksman. He designed his logo and created the business of Top Mark Sports.

Jim was a master carpenter with outstanding wood working skills. He enjoyed designing and building keepsakes/gifts for his family. He loved his farm and the animals on it. Jim loved guns, cars and hunting/fishing. He enjoyed life and time with his family on the farm most of all. Jim believed in family value and honor. Trust and honesty were expected. He loved Texas and Texas was his home.
He also met his wife Jody in Arlington, TX. A year later they moved to Casper Wyoming for a year then to Denver Colorado for a year. Jim and Jody moved back to Texas and made their home on a farm in Burleson. After trying for several years, Jimmie convinced Jody to marry him and they were married on May 15th 1999.

Jimmie Loved Burleson and he loved his life on the farm. He helped raise his bonus daughter Miranda helping her with FFA, seeing her through her education years and then college. Jim was blessed with two granddaughters who adored their Papa.

Jimmie is survived by his loving wife and partner of 31 years Jody, two sons Jay and Justin (Crystal) of Burleson, two bonus daughters Darci Reed of Casper, WY and Miranda Baker (Trent) of Burleson, his brother Rick White (Lameda) of Azle, many nieces and nephews, two granddaughters Marissa Baker and Trinity Baker, bonus grandchildren Trevor Baker and Violet Baker of Burleson.

Jimmie was proceeded in death by his parents Hugh Hansel White and Della Lorene White (Luther), his brother Jodie Ray White and sister Edna Joyce Schultz (White).

Jimmie was a strong fighter, but he is now flying on a journey in the clouds that we cannot see. We know that he is free from pain and flying peacefully through the heavens.
