Jimmy Glynn Brown, 70, passed away on June 8, 2019, at a local hospital. Military Honors for Jimmy will be held at 11:15 AM Thursday, June 13, 2019 at the Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas. Jimmy was born August 6, 1948 in Dallas, Tx. to James G. and Madelaine Duncan Brown. Jimmy grew up in Dallas and graduated from Adamson High School, Oak Cliff, in 1966. After high school he attended Texas A. & M. before being drafted for the Vietnam War, He served in the Navy on the USS Hawkbill and other submarines from 1972 - 1980. Jimmy was a member of the Republican Party serving as precinct chair for several years in Matagorda County. He was employed by STP Nuclear Power as an engineer, retiring in 2016. Jimmy married Margaret ( Peggy ) in Dallas, Texas, 2018. They enjoyed a beautiful but short time together of love, faith, and companionship. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Stephen Mark, and son Jeffrey. Jimmy is survived by his wife Peggy; son Christopher from a previous marriage; grandson Stephen.
