Jo Anne (Hoellerich) Siebel
Jo Anne (Hoellerich) Siebel, 81, of Wilmette, Illinois and Northbrook, Illinois, peacefully passed away on January 8, 2024. Jo Anne was born in Evanston, Illinois on August 29, 1942, to John and Janet (Hollister) Hoellerich. Over the years she lived in Wilmette, IL; Newport, RI; Annapolis, MD; Lake Bluff, IL; Great Lakes, IL; Northbrook, IL; Cleveland, WI; Sun Lakes, AZ; Tonto Verde, AZ; Keller, TX; and Denton, TX. In 1964, on a blind date, she met and fell in love with Richard Siebel, her husband of 59 years.
A devoted wife, Jo Anne loved the outdoors and good naturedly partnered with her husband in his golfing, skiing, sailing and fishing endeavors. She loved politics and was an ardent supporter of her favorite candidates. Jo Anne was an avid reader and an accomplished artist. In addition to her artistic productions, Jo Anne designed custom carpets and flower gardens. She was also the “master architect” for a vacation home in Wisconsin and residence in Arizona. Jo Anne owned and operated a gift shop, The Mad Hatter, in Northbrook, Illinois, and was the consummate party hostess.
Her life, however, revolved around her family. She dearly loved her son Christopher (Laurie DaRosa), her daughter Jennifer Kolodziej (Greg), and their children and grandchildren. Spending precious time with her two children, her five grandchildren and her two great grandchildren was the center of her world.
Jo Anne is preceded in death by her parents, John and Janet Hoellerich, a baby sister and two younger brothers, James and Jeffery. She is survived by her husband Richard; her son Chris (Laurie) and their two children; her daughter Jenni (Greg) and their three children and two grandchildren; her sister Judith McCarthy (Paul) and two brothers, John Hoellerich and Jack (Gail) Hoellerich; as well as extended family and many great friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 2:00pm at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller, Texas.
