Jo Nell Thornton Meetze, 82, passed away December 24, 2020 at Hospice House of Burleson. A graveside service will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, January 2, 2021, at Tye Cemetery.
Jo Nell was born January 13, 1938 in Ft. Worth to J.B. and Mary Elizabeth Thornton Bryson. She grew up in Burleson and graduated from
Burleson High School.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Gary Paul Thornton.
She is survived by her daughter, Denise Elizabeth Thornton; granddaughter, Hanna Elizabeth Warren; sister, Betty Lou Shelton; half-sister, Gina Marie Bryson; and half-brother, James Barry Bryson.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Hospice House in Burleson.
