Joe was born to Glenn and Mildred Butts Gravley. He attended North Dallas High School and was in ROTC with the rank Private First Class. Joe graduated from the University of North Texas in 1977 with a Bachelors degree in Psychology.
Joe loved to travel whether with the Airstream Club or cruises to Alaska.
Joe worked in retail as a manager until 2004 when he retired from Albertson’s Grocery Store.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Mildred; and brothers Carl and George.
He is survived by his wife June Gravley.
