Joe Hatley, 79, of Grapevine passed away peacefully with family by his side on May 4, 2021.
Joe was born February 26, 1942 in Dallas, TX, to Mancel Wayne and Sudie Faye Hatley. He was retired from Central Garden Supply. Joe was the co-owner of Dove Loop Boat Storage, which he enjoyed working at in his retirement years. He was also a Mason.
Joe was a man that loved his family with all that he had. Family was always the most important thing to him. We could always count on him for his wisdom and advise mixed with his humor. We knew that there was never anything that we couldn't go to him with. He was always there to help us when we needed him most. There was never a day that we ever had a doubt that he loved all of us. He taught his kids, grandkids and great grandkids many life lessons that we will continue to carry with us.
Joe is survived by son, Billy Hatley of Grapevine, son, Roy Hatley of Keller, and daughter, Becky Graves and husband Peter of Athens; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; brother, Charles Hatley of Midlothian; brother, James Hatley of Wills Point; brother Harold Hatley of Lone Oak and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Judy; daughter, Sherrie Perry; brother MW "Dub" Hatley and brother Bobby Hatley.
