NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Joe Watson departed this life on Thursday May 5, 2016 after a brief battle with cancer.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. Interment will follow at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. If you are inclined to send a memorial he would be honored for it to go to Tarrant Area Food Bank.
Born on October 1, 1948 in Ardmore, Oklahoma he wed his high school sweetheart, Linda Grady on August 15, 1970. After moving to Fort Worth he began work as a union electrician and retired after a long and distinguished career in 2014. Joe will be remembered for his tireless work effort and flawless integrity.
Joe enjoyed being with his family and divided his time equally between his lake home in Granbury and North Richland Hills. He adored his grandchildren and cherished being a part of their lives. He will be remembered by his family and friends as the true definition of husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Survivors: He is survived by wife Linda, daughter and son-in-law Michele and Jason Bunch, son and daughter-in-law Michael and Cynthia Watson; grandchildren Abigail Bunch, Zachary Bunch and Lorelei Watson; brothers Jack and Steve Watson; sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews
