September 11, 1980 — April 14, 2018

John Bradley Adams, 37, passed away on April 14, 2018 in the arms of his family at home, after fighting a valiant battle against cancer. He was a beloved husband, son, brother, cousin, and friend.

A celebration of his life will be held at 11 am, April 18 at Peace Lutheran Church, 941 Bedford Euless Road in Hurst, Texas, 76053.

John was born September 11, 1980 in Irving, Texas, to Ann Bradley Adams and Donald J. Adams. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Dallas Baptist University in 2004 and attended graduate classes at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. John was a highly-respected software developer, cloud architect, teacher and published author with O’Reilly Books and Packt Publishing. He enjoyed shooting guns with his four best friends, Jason and Kevin Asimakis, Daniel White and David Nix. Together, they had fun sending special Christmas presents with John’s potato cannon and playing Xbox games. John also enjoyed philosophical conversations about religion and politics. He was an exceptional scholar who loved to read, especially works by N.T. Wright. He was a curious seeker – We are sure that he is already best friends with the Apostle Paul.
John married Michell Adams July 30, 2005 in Irving, Texas. He was an incredibly loving, doting and respected Christian daddy to Samuel, 11, and Sophie, 7. They built a home for ten years in Irving and recently moved to Argyle in 2016. They had many adventures as a family, including vacations to Washington DC, San Antonio and Ireland. John loved taking Sam and Sophie to the movies, especially to see the Star Wars Episodes. John and Michell shared many interests, including a mutual love of the Biblical Greek language, watching British television shows, being in one another’s company and sharing a lot of laughs, both alone and with family and friends. John, Michell, Sam and Sophie have been members of Peace Lutheran Church since 2015.
John is survived by his wife of twelve years, Michell Adams, his son, Samuel Cyrus and his daughter, Sophie Charis; His parents, Ann Bradley Adams and Donald James Adams; His Brother Bryan Adams, Sister-in-Law Tara Adams, nieces Henley and Harper Adams; His sister, Jennifer Davis, Brother-in-Law Nathan Davis, and soon-to-be-born Olivia Davis; Father-in-Law Darrell Morris and his wife, Jan Morris; Brother-in-Law Jeremy Morris and his wife, Jennifer Morris as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and an abundance of friends. The family would also like to thank his oncologist, Dr. Anil Bhogaraju, for his knowledgeable care, as well as the loving assistance from VITAS hospice. John will be dearly missed. We have hope in the resurrection of Christ that we will be reunited with him again in a short while

If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sam and Sophie’s college fund. Condolences may be sent to Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst, Texas, 76053.
