John D. Barrett

John D. Barrett, of Justin, Texas, peacefully passed away on September 13, 2020 in Justin, Texas. He will always be remembered as a loving Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and friend to all that knew and loved him.
He was born on June 21, 1933 in Carlisle, Texas to Guy and Edna Barrett. Along with being an Air Force veteran, John’s professional career consisted of being a home builder/developer, Keller City councilman and the City Manager of Keller. He was also a district manager of Tri-County Electric. In his personal life he was first and foremost a devoted Christian and family man. He loved to travel and found time to be a member of the Shriners.

John is survived by sons, Craig Barrett of Justin, Texas, Scott Barrett of Saginaw, Texas, Scott Baker of Orlando, Florida and Todd Baker of Gilbert, Arizona along with ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son John Jr., wife Gladys, brothers, Gale, Vernon, Guy and sister, Bernice.

The Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Lucas Funeral Home, Keller. The funeral service will be 10:00 am Friday, September 18, 2020 at Lucas Funeral Home, Keller. Interment will follow on Saturday, September 18, 2020 in McAdams Cemetery in Walker County, Texas.
