John Wayne Brogdon

John Wayne “Papa John” Brogdon, 75, of Euless, Texas passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021.
He was born on March 12, 1946, in Memphis, Tennessee to Margaret and James Brogdon. As a child he enjoyed riding go-carts with Mitcham with no brakes, fishing with his mom and dad, and brothers on the Tennessee River. John married the love of his life, Patricia Biggerstaff, on June 25, 1965, in Grapevine, Texas and have been married for 56 years. He joined the Marine Corps and after being honorably discharged he became an airplane mechanic. He obtained his 5-year Girl Scouts Pin, where he served with his wife Patricia in their daughter’s Girl Scouts, and he obtained numerous awards during his 37 years with Southwest Airlines. Some of his favorite hobbies and activities are fishing, camping, gun shows, and old cars and boats.
John is survived by his wife, Patricia Brogdon; daughter, Andrea Long, husband, Marc; sons, Tony Schenck, fiancée, Elizabeth, and Phillip Schenck; grandchildren, Kenny, wife, Bridget, Kaity, husband, Anthony, Shalei, husband, Andrew, Tyler, Ansley, Jennifer, husband, Travis, Nathan, Jackson, Ava, Samantha, and Phillip, Jr.; and 2 great-grandchildren.; brother, Richard Brogdon; and many nieces and nephews.
