John Samuel Carr

John Samuel Carr was born on January 9, 1938 to the late Lester Thomas and Cleo Faye (Sacra) Carr in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He passed away on December 21, 2018 at home in Hurst, Texas at the age of 80.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy Jo Carr; beloved daughters, Samantha Rae Carter of Lawton, OK, Jennifer Gwen Kenney of Hurst, Texas, Leslie Jo Mendoza and husband Tony of Lubbock, TX; Gina Kaye Greene of Wilmington, NC, and Courtney Renee’ Demirjian and husband, Michael of Fort Rucker, AL; siblings, Thomas “Bud” Carr of Chickasha, OK and Sue Sullins and husband, Roy of North Richland Hills, TX; grandchildren, Krystal (Brock), Robbie, Jessica, Brye, Matthew, Hannah, Scott, Kendall, and Madison.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Lester Car and Cleo Faye Carr and sisters, Effie Lou Hulsey and LaNelle Phillps.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, December 28, 2018 at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst with Pastor Marc Lowrance officiating and interment later that afternoon at Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
