John Allen Green

April 30, 1935 — July 31, 2022

John (Johnny) Allen Green was called to his heavenly home on July 31, 2022.

Johnny was born April 30, 1935 in Quanah, Texas, to Whit Washington Green and Anna Elizabeth Green. He was the youngest of four children and was preceded in death by William Harvey Green, Charles Otis Green, and Enid Green Strahan.

Following his graduation from Quanah High School in 1953, Johnny attended and graduated from Texas Technical College in 1959. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1959 to 1962.

On April 15, 1960, he married the love of his life Barbara Price and they remained married and devoted to one another for the next sixty-two years. Together they raised three children and were blessed with six grandchildren. They are members of Hunter’s Glen Baptist Church in Plano, Tx.

Johnny loved spending time with his family, golfing, traveling, visiting with friends, and chocolate! He enjoyed taking family members on vacation with them. There were numerous trips to Pagosa Springs CO, Branson MO, and Angel Fire NM.

John is survived by his wife, Barbara Price Green and his children: Deborah Green Parker and husband, Kevin; John Allen Green, Jr and wife Lori; and Stephen Gregory Green; grandchildren: Austin Green, Maegan Kendricks and husband Ashton, Carter Green, Zachary Green, Grant Green, and Vivian Green. He was blessed to have numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a tax-deductible donation to the American Cancer Society, the National Kidney Foundation, or the Wounded Warrior Project.
