In his later years, he served in the Army, stationed in France, where he worked as an M.P. and continued to entertain wherever he went. Returning to his roots in Fort Worth, John set up a successful tractor shop in Springtown, TX, where he continued to touch lives with his music, laughter, and unwavering dedication to his community. He also involvement in starting Crime Stoppers.
