John Randall (J.R.) Hamrick, 64 years of age, peacefully passed away of aggressive liver cancer on Tuesday, November 30th 2021 at his sister’s home in Fort Worth TX.
J.R. was born on May 10th 1957 in Shreveport LA to parents Jerry Wysong Hamrick and Maxine Grace Hamrick. He attended Monterrey High School in Lubbock, TX and honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. John was a loyal member of the patriot guard and selflessly assisted with annual toy drives. Being an avid animal lover and music connoisseur kept John busy, but more importantly he adored mechanical toys and had QUITE the collection of antique cars, motorcycles, and boats.
John leaves to cherish his loving memory his children, daughter Carmen Matsushita and son Austin Vaughan Hamrick along with his loving sister Dana Lunsford and brother Rick Hamrick. He was blessed to have 6 grandchildren Alyssa, Lauren, Evan, Tara, Kate and Addison. John is also survived by his niece Daron and nephews Jason, Damon, Cody, and Colton.
