John Wesley Harrison

December 2, 1941 — August 2, 2022

John Wesley Harrison, of Keller Texas, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 2, 2022. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father and kind friend to all who knew him. He was born on December 2, 1941 in Dallas Texas to J.W. and Johnnie Harrison. Wes was a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington where he studied History and Golf.
He has two beloved children, Donna and David, with his previous wife. He met the love of this life, Sandra Harrison, in Colorado Springs and became a loving stepfather to Amy. He was a corporate manager for Equifax for many years, then, in 1994, took the opportunity to return to his beloved home state of Texas to work for Allen Samuels Auto Group. The most rewarding years of his career were spent in the auto industry collaborating with many wonderful colleagues and community leaders.

Wes was very active in his community serving in the numerous Chambers of Commerce in the Fort Worth area. He passionately supported Meals on Wheels and Rocky Top Horse Therapy Center. Owning and racing thoroughbred horses was his passion and he won Best Claimer of the Year at Lone Star Park. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, and skiing. Wes was an avid dog lover throughout his life and many unwanted shelter dogs found their way into his life and into his heart.

Wes is survived by his best friend and adored wife, Sandra Harrison, of Keller Texas; his treasured children, Donna Bornhofen (David), David Harrison, and Amy Chavez (Andrew); five grandchildren Kiersten, Kevin, Ryan, Alessandra and Aiden; his cherished sister Donna Samuels, and three nieces and nephews Jaylene Dagnan, Jennifer Bargy, and John Dagnan.
