John Scott Johnson, 49, of Roanoke, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, July 6, 2017.
Memorial service: 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Roanoke, with Pastor Robert Bulduc officiating.
Scott was born February 25, 1968 in Wooster, Ohio, to the late Ronald and Sally (Shamel) Johnson. He also lived in Maryville, Tenn. and Stillwater, Okla. thru his childhood. He was a graduate of Stillwater High School in 1986. Scott graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1990 with a degree in Finance. He then moved to Texas where he resided until his passing.
Scott worked at various financial firms throughout the years, loved working with numbers. Scott loved his kids more than anything in the world. He also loved to jet-ski racing, race cars, and rock music. Scott was a devout Christian and a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Roanoke.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Denetia Johnson and Jennifer Johnson; uncles John Shamel, Dale Johnson, and Kermit Johnson; and nephew Aaron Budewig.
Survivors: Children, Amber Cain, Hailey Johnson , and Brendan Johnson; grandson, Kayson Cain; sister, Melissa Pals; nieces, Kara Gagnon and Ashton Kurtz; nephew, Austin Budewig; along with great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends
