It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of the esteemed John Anthony Benavente Ojeda Sr., a man whose presence brought warmth and joy to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Born in Tamuning, Guam, on June 24, 1958, John's life was a testament to his unwavering dedication to his family, community, and country.
A proud U.S. Army veteran, John served his nation with honor for over 15 years before continuing his service with the Guam Power Authority. Throughout his life, John's outgoing nature and love for the outdoors shone brightly, as he cherished moments spent hunting, fishing, and embarking on adventures with his children, grandchildren, and friends. His passion for sports was equally evident, as he generously shared his time coaching basketball and baseball, playing softball, and creating lasting memories with family and friends.
John's legacy is deeply rooted in the hearts of those he leaves behind. We extend our heartfelt gratitude for your love, support and prayers during this difficult time.
