John "Matthew" Parrish

Our beloved, John Matthew Parrish, departed this world unexpectedly, October 20, 2023, leaving a void in our hearts that can never be filled.

Matthew was born November 5, 1977, to John and Gemma Parrish in Irving, TX. He was a devoted son, loving brother and uncle and a loyal friend to many. He grew up in Haltom City, TX playing football and basketball, working in the garage with his dad and hanging out with his friends. Matthew loved all forms of art. His passion for drawing led him to pursue being a tattoo artist. He followed in his dad's love of mechanics, motorcycles and abilities to build and customize them. Over time, he gained a love for cooking through experimenting and making his own recipes to growing his own herbs and vegetables. His love for art was only exceeded by his love of family and his desire for them to be happy. He brought all those privileged to know him silliness and laughter.
Matthew is preceded in death by his Father, John M Parrish, his Grandparents, Albert and Yvonne, and William and Ester
He will be forever remembered by: Mother, Gemma; Siblings, Bridget, Christopher and wife Erin, and Melissa; Niece, Teresa; Nephew, Erik and partner Aby; Grand-nieces, Nova, Scarlet and Ellora; Aunts, Louisa and husband Tab, Theresa, Prudence and Frances; Uncle, Bernie; Numerous cousins and extended family.
