John (Jack) E Reardon, 66, passed away August 17, 2021 at home in Burleson with his wife by his side. A memorial visitation will be held from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Lucas & Blessing Funeral Home, 518 SW Johnson Ave in Burleson. A graveside service will be held at 11:15am on Friday, September 10, 2021 at the DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, in Dallas.
Jack was born December 11,1954 in Dunkirk, New York to Eugene and Dorothy Reardon. He grew up in Clinton, New York and graduated from Clinton Central High in 1973. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served for four years. He attended Utica College of Syracuse University, graduating in 1981 with a BS degree in engineering. After graduation he went to work for Westinghouse Corporation, followed by Aramark Inc. until his retirement in May of this year. Most of his tenure at Aramark was spent working at Baylor University in Waco. He became an avid Baylor Bears fan.
Jack married DJ in 2012 in Las Vegas, and they were happily married for 9 years. Jack was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Burleson. He enjoyed home improvement projects and trips to the beach.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Dorothy Reardon and his brother, James Reardon.
Jack is survived by his wife, DJ; his step-children, Courtney Reeves and husband, Jon of Crowley. Kersten Kee and husband, Brandon Orr of Ft. Worth, Jon Kee and wife, Michelle Hall Kee of Ft Worth; brothers, Robert Reardon and wife, Marianne of Utica, NY and Kevin Reardon of Brooklyn, NY. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Hannah Reeves, Caleb Reeves, Adelyn Kee and Sophie Kee and nephew, Trenton Reardon of Philadelphia, PA.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to American Cancer Society or your favorite animal rescue.
