John Silva Torrez, Jr., of Fort Worth died February 14, 2019.
Johnny was born in Dallas, December 20, 1952, to John, Sr. and Victoria. He was their first born and the golden child. Johnny was great at anything he tried to do. He had a deep passion for sports that followed him from childhood into adulthood, he could proudly tell you all of the stats and where any NFL player came from.
A graduate of Lake Worth High School, Johnny began working straight out of high school and was a proud employee of Champion Homes, where he built manufactured homes.
Johnny loved to be where the action was, although he never wanted to be the center of attention. He loved to observe and take life in. He was loved by all who knew him. He was friendly, generous and funny. If he loved you, he would do anything for you. There will never be a better father, brother or friend.
He was lucky enough to be able to love two women in his lifetime. RoseMary came into his life when he was just 17 years old. They were together until the day she died five and a half years ago. The love they shared was undeniable.
Olga Melendez brought out the fun side of Johnny. They shared a love for good movies, good food and good times. His family is grateful for Olga and her ability to make Johnny happy. It was truly wonderful to be able to see him in love again.
