John Bradley Walker of Hurst, Texas, died on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at the age of twenty-three, in Abilene, Texas.
John was born in Fort Worth, Texas on May 20, 1998. His parents are Doug and Kim Walker; and he has two brothers, Seth and Mark Walker. He graduated from Birdville ISD in 2017.
John had a variety of jobs from fitness centers to construction, but most enjoyed his work in the hospitality industry.
John loved art, weightlifting, sports, and music. He was very proud of his unique clothing and shoes.
John loved to laugh, and was extremely quick-witted. For his senior trip, he chose to go to a comedy school in New York City with his dad.
At the age of seven, John made a childhood commitment to Christ and was baptized. At the age of twenty-two, he made an adult commitment to rededicate his life to the Lord.
John was a fun loving, witty young man; but unfortunately, struggled with his emotional and mental health, and substance addiction for almost ten years. These struggles led to numerous poor choices, and in the end cost him his life. He was incredibly loved by so many through it all.
John is survived by his parents, Doug and Kim Walker; his brothers, Seth and Mark, his grandparents; Arnie and Susan Halterman of Canton, Georgia; his Mamaw, Shirley Walker of Knoxville, Tennessee; his biological grandmother, Pennie Cockrell; as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is proceeded in death by his Papaw, Earl Walker.
John’s service will be held Saturday, February 19, 2022, beginning at 10:00AM at Fellowship of the Parks, North Fort Worth Campus. The address is 9900 North Beach Street, Fort Worth, TX 76244.
