Johna Faye (Sullivan) Seawright, 88, of Fort Worth died Saturday May 26, 2018 at a local hospital after a short illness.
Celebration of Life: 1 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Burleson with Rev. Richard Jones and Rev. Bob Johns officiating.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Forerunners Senior Adult Ministry at First Baptist Church Burleson.
Johna Faye was born March 6, 1930 in Doyle, Okla. To John Charles (Johnny) and Ruby Faye (Furr) Sullivan. She attended school at Doyle, Owens Prairie, and Bray High school in Stephens County, Okla. She married Kenneth Ray Seawright on June 30, 1950 and remained married to him until his death on July 10, 2015. Johna Faye referred to ken as her “dream” from the time she met him at Bray High school.
Johna Faye and Ken were long time active members of First Baptist Church of Burleson and was unashamed to share her faith in Christ to anyone she met. Over her life she worked at Haliburton before the boys were born, after which she became a happy homemaker until they were older, when she began working at First Baptist as church secretary for 12 years. She followed that by working at Tarrant County College for over ten years. She loved her family and friends, always enjoying time with them whenever possible. Johna Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Ray; parents, Ruby and Johnny and brothers, Jimmy and Jerry Sullivan.
Survivors: Sons, Keith and his wife Sheri, Russell and his wife Darla; grandchildren, Jonathan, Madi, Micah and Morgan
