Johnnie Shannon passed away on February 6, 2018.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Lucas Funeral Home, Hurst. Visitation: Friday, February 16, 2018 from 6:00-9:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, Colleyville.

Johnnie was a dry wall contractor for over 30 years and worked with multiple companies. He had the best sense of humor and was known as "quite the character". Johnnie was set in his ways and very "hard headed". Most of all, he loved his family and was very proud of them.

Johnnie was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ruth after 42 years of marriage. He was also preceded by 3 brothers, Charlie Patterson, Eugene Patterson, and Gerald Patterson.
He is survived by sons, Ricky Shannon and wife, Dena, Scott Shannon and wife, JoAnn, and Randy Shannon and wife, Aseneth; grandchildren, Kristin, Eric, Joshua, Cody, Katie and Leonardo; great grandchildren, Seth Michael, Leelynn, and Ava; sisters, Shirley Patterson and husband, Kelly and Pamela Cromeens and husband, Phill; brother, Mike Patterson; and many other extended family and friends.
