Johnnie Faye Young went home to Jesus on December 30th surrounded by family and friends. She passed a day shy of her 85th birthday.
Johnnie was born to Clyde Havens and Loveta Stiff on December 31, 1933 in Altoga, Texas. She met her husband, Garland Edward Young, at church and they married June 2nd 1951. They went on to have three children, Karran, Becky, and Beverly, as well as being ‘Nanna’ to many others.
In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Johnnie also loved her church, researching genealogy, volunteering and dedicating her service to others. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. She was a loyal servant of the Lord and sought to be faithful in all she did. Johnnie will be remembered as a loving, vibrant woman who brought joy and happiness to everyone she met. She always had a song in her heart and would often sing it aloud for everyone to hear.
Johnnie joins her mother, father, husband, daughter Karran, and sister Evelyn Cargill in Heaven. She is survived by her two daughters and their husbands, Becky & Dave Alexander of Longview, TX and Beverly & Michael Beck of Knoxville, TN, her 4 grandchildren, John David Alexander, Brent Patrick Alexander, Allison Marie Beck, and Zachary Michael Beck, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services held at North Richland Hills Baptist Church on Thursday, January 3rd 2019 at 11 am with graveside service following at Laurel Land at 2 pm.
