BEDFORD, TX — Jon David Patton, 74, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023, following a brief hospital stay.
Born in Portland, Oregon, he was the son of the late Leroy and Mary Belle (Gray) Patton. Jon and his family moved to Grand Prairie, Texas when he was a young boy, and he lived in that city for most of his life until recent years when he moved to Brookdale Eden Estates in 2017. He was a graduate of Grand Prairie High School, and worked for more than 40 years at Baxter/Cardinal Health.
Jon enjoyed reading, spending time with his family, and was a sportscar enthusiast and model train collector.
In addition to his parents, Jon was preceded in death by his brother, Dannie Patton, who also lived in Grand Prairie.
Surviving Jon is his son, Nicholas C. Patton (Colleen) of Grapevine, and two grandchildren, Grayson and McKenzie Patton, as well as his sister-in-law, three nephews and many more family and friends.
A graveside service officiated by Pastor Elaine Howsley, will be held at Grand Prairie Memorial Gardens, Grand Prairie, on Saturday, April 15 at 10:00am with arrangements by Lucas Funeral Home, Grapevine.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association for OPMD research.
